The Task

Designing a location tagging flow, to help operators act on insights faster.

Building the app from initial insight to a ready-to-pitch product concept. Conducting user interviews / Synthesizing data / Prototyping/ Visual Design.

CONTEXT

After receiving insights, farmers tend to spend a lot of time finding the exact site of intervention

After receiving insights, farmers tend to spend a lot of time finding the exact site of intervention

Facilities were using physical flags to mark sensor locations across compost piles.

THE PROBLEM

When the compost needed attention, operators were spending significant time locating the right pile & exact placement

Avoiding costly hardware upgrades

THE OUTCOME

THE OUTCOME

Self tagging devices to enable a map module

Self tagging devices to enable a map module

Farmers can scan, confirm placement details, and tag a precise location.

To allow for smooth transitions and avoiding costly hardware upgrades, we tested the feature through pre-configured QR codes

Designing for two points of entry

New clients: Add new devices, assign to piles, tag locations

Existing clients: Tag locations on already deployed devices in the field.
